Vitamin D Turns Your Webcam Into A Virtual Doorman
When I bought a webcam for my front door - mine is the Linksys WVC54GCA - I was faced with a predicament. The built-in motion detection software bombarded my email inbox with images of an empty frame. It was set off by the motion of a leaf or a reflection, rendering one of the most important aspects - notification of trespass - ineffective.
At an impasse, I decided to build a cyberbiomimetic AI using a cockroach brain and a vat of amino acids. The resulting system, while effective at spotting intruders, eventually threatened to become self-aware and so I had to shut it down. Finally, I tried Vitamin D.
Problem, as they say, solved.

Spam o’ the morning to you!
We just got this email from, of all places, Brandoo Co., Ltd., a company that seems to be parasitically suckling off of the good will associated to Brando. However, unlike Brando, their devices are clearly garbage OEM junk

Tokyo Game Show: Metal Gear Solid – Peace Walker (2 videos)
One of the biggest titles of this year’s Tokyo Game Show is certainly Metal Gear Solid – Peace Walker for the PSP. And it’s all about multiplayer. I was able to play the game with a friend (in co-op mode) for about 15 minutes and it completely rocked (the game was playable for the first time).

I’ll seriously try to withhold any jokes about us becoming lazy or references to Asimov’s Three Law of Robotics in this post. Also, I’ll try not to talk about how people like you and me will never ever have a system like this installed in our homes. With all that out of the way, I present to you Anvil Motion computerized kitchen cabinets and the decline of the human race.
